The most important factor in producing qaulitive
granite and marble produces, making them shiny and beautiful, is diamond tools.
Rapidity and effectivity of stone processing especially depends on tools'
quality and technological abilities. That is why our company always pays great
attention to continual perfection of diamond tools and it's application
technology.
In diamond sawing system bench - frame - diamond
segments - stone, the most conservative part were diamond segments. If during
last 50 years benches and saw-frames were fundamentally changed, diamond
segments and its' application were not severely changed. It concerned with
insufficient process research because of out-of-the-way place of interaction
segment with stone. Researches show, that only 5-8% of energy are spent for
stone destruction in diamond sewing. The rest is spent for destruction products
(sludge) friction in interaction zone. Reducing sludge quantity in that zone
allows noticable decrease friction and increase sewing effectivity.
One of basic ways in reducing sludge quantity and
density under segment is improving of sludge removal by additional channels in
segment. We developed and patented construction and technology of segment with
additional channels producing. It allows in the same modes 2-3 times reduce
sludge quantity and sewing power intensity. It allows with identical
productivity to reduce sew-frame load, bench load, to prolong the term of usage,
and if necessary increase productivity without overload. We worked out
effectivity criteria and established common rules of stone sewing process. Based
on this rules the five-grades classification of Ukraine granites categories by
their undersawing ability and table of assured sews firmness with recommended
sewing modes. These recommendations were formed for multirazor benches, benches
of big diameters (ø2700 - 3500 mm.) and single sew benches.
We optimized parameters of diamond segments for
sewing granites of different density and abrasivity by selection compability of
interacting pairs diamond-rock, matrix-sludge. All this information allows our
clients to perform sewing the hardest rocks of Ukrainian seam correctly and with
high effectivity and reduce diamond tools loss.

Sewing speed increase pro rata decreases tools'
firmness.
For not to polish the segments it is recommended to
alternate sewing of blocks in different categories. 3-5th after 1-2nd and so on.
Without such possibility, while sewing blocks of 3-5th categories, periodic
sharpening with maximum sewing speed and hollow 1-2 mm is necessary.
